"The VFW National Home assists military, veterans, and their families with children, by creating a foundation of services and resources to achieve their personal and family goals in order to move forward in a positive, safe and healthy environment.”
About the VFW National Home
Located at 3573 S. Waverly Rd., Eaton Rapids, MI 48827, on over 600 acres of land, the VFW National Home was born from the belief that America needs to care for the children and families of the men and women who sacrificed for our country. The VFW National Home is a place of healing, support and refuge.
The VFW National Home was founded in 1925 by the Veterans of Foreign Wars as a place where the families left behind by war could remain together, keeping the family circle intact even when their service member didn’t come home.
Today’s families face different challenges — reintegration, post-traumatic stress, high unemployment and the need for rehabilitation from battlefield injuries, among others — and the National Home has evolved over our decades-long history to meet those changing needs.

VFW National Home Membership Update
As of January 1, 2026, the VFW National Home updated its membership program to help ensure continued care and stability for the veterans and military families who depend on the National Home.
Life and Associate Life Memberships increased to $100, allowing the National Home to better support families with safe housing, essential services, and a place to grow.
To make membership easier for everyone, the National Home also introduced a new installment payment option, giving more supporters the opportunity to stand with these families in a way that works best for them.
Supporters are invited to become members and stand alongside military and veteran families as they build stronger futures. Your membership helps ensure the National Home remains a place of comfort, stability, and support for generations to come.
